What Wark could mean about information being the key value to the economy and art is, for example, the artist who made it, the value of the work, and its worth as it gets passed to different people. People like to buy from brands they like which could also apply to people purchasing pieces from artists they like and use their name to sell it at a higher price if they ever intend of reselling the work.
It relates to the idea of value and collectability as, whether it's nfts or a normal piece of digital art, there's a sense of "missing out" when you're unable to get your hands on a piece as you're not sure if/when the artist will sell another artwork. As for "spreadability", the more the artwork is sold and passed around, the more the name of the artist and their brand become more known. This relates to Harper's ideas as he mentions, "big names, big sums" as the more popular the brand the more money it makes. However, Harper points out the amount of copying and even more soulless collections it produces essentially making the market bland
